Celebrate scouting!!!!!

BLUE AND GOLD BANQUET

WEBELOS CROSSOVER

Come celebrate the accomplishments of the last 5 years as the second year webelos crossover to boy scouts. Our annual Blue and Gold banquet celebration of the birthday of cub scouting is February 12. The dinner begins at 6:00PM with the awards ceremony to follow. All scouts achieving their rank level in February will be recogonized as well as the second year webelos who are crossing over to boy scouts and who have earned the highest award in cub scouting, the ARROW OF LIGHT!

The banquet will be held at St. Mary's Visitation church in Byron Center. Contact your den leader with your reservation numbers by January 18, 2008.

FUN ACTIVITIES COMING UP

Cub Scout/Webelos Adventureland

Get ready for.......CAMP!!! That's right, camp is coming up fast and is a great time. The camp is for two different age groups. This means that all of the scouts from the rank of Tiger and Wolf get to go to Cub Scout Aventureland while the Bears and Webelos get to go to Webelos Adventureland. This is a fun time of crazy games that include but are not limited to Spongeball, Pirate-ship dodgeball, water games and much more. See you at camp!!

Day Camp

Day camp is a few days set aside every summer by the counsel that is only during the day and is almost the exact same thing as Cub Scout and Webelos Adventureland but it is not overnight so it is perfect for those who don't want to sleep overnight in a strange place. At day camp they make crafts and play water games. Parents need to attend with their child and it is held at various parks in and around Grand Rapids. Hope to see you there!!

PINEWOOD DERBY

Rain Gutter Regatta

The Rain Gutter Regatta is when you put together an official Boy Scout boat and race it ( using only your hot air to propell your ship) down a 10' long rain gutter full of water. This Event takes place July 22,2008 at 6:30 in Whistlestop Park.

Rocket Shoot

The rocket shoot is where you make a model rocket and shoot it off intto the Wild Blue Yonder. This takes place on August 12,2008 at 6:30 in Douglas Walker Park.
